The camera of my Phantom 2 Vision + doesn't tilt anymore after last software update.

It is still taking pictures and making movies, but doesn't tilt using the remote control or the smatphone app.

Anybody with the same issue?

Thanks,
Andre K.

Read this, then do your calibrations without connecting the TX to the computer.

That is the standard cal and should be done.  But if there are problems, the cal without software should be done first, then the standard cals with software.

It is a known procedure to fix a multitude of problems with control after an update or similar situation.

nrgwise, are you saying the software and non-software calibrations do different things? I was under the assumption that both do the same thing. People seem to have more success with the software calibration because the steps are easier to complete.

The without cal software seems to correct a wide variety of problems if done before the cals with software.   Most notably problems with the gimbal wheel.  The cal without software is a 'hard' cal.  The cal with software is not really a cal, but more of an alignment check.  If after the cal with software the pointers don't line up in the center the only way to fix that is with a hard cal. - without software.

A lot of the hard calibrations with the software will leave the camera jittery.  The procedure not connected to the software will remedy the jittery nerves of the camera and leave it smooth as silk.

Andre look in the upgrade window of the admin software and see If you still have a line that says Zen IMU. If that line is gone then it's RMA Time for DJI to reload the firmware for the gimbal. Call support to confirm.

Andre, do the cal that Gerry posted without being connected with the usb cable FIRST, then do the cals connected with the usb cable with the RC assistant then the Phantom assistant.

First thing Andre, when you first turn on your Phantom, does the camera move at all?

I have a Phantom 2 w/an H3-2D Zenmuse Gimbal.
It seems that the Gimbal does not have any power.
Are there any power/signal test points on the Gimbal?
The Gimbal does not show up in the software.

Can a person reload the Gimbal firmware without DJI?

I just did the non software calibration and the software calibration
for the controller and it seems to work better now.

I am having the same problem with my Phantom II and H33D. After all the calibrations, my still gimbal won't tilt. It works fine otherwise. Just no tilt control.

Does that model have the FPV setting in the phone app.

On the plus if I set fpv in settings  then gimbal is set to that vs normal.

maybe it is set accidently to FPV

just a guess to try!

good luck

Mine doesn't have a phone app - it's using a third-party FPV from Kumba Kam.

I went today to a local DJI Dealer here in Sao Paulo, and they calibrated the RC and solved the problem.

Thank you all guys for your help.

I ran into the same situation after upgrading the firmware on my tx. I had to do the manual cal first, then the software cal. The rc assistant would not do anything without doing the manual cal first.
