I was out flying this morning after doing all of the latest updates and came across a scenario I had not experienced before. I was flying quite happily on my second battery and was at 150 metres from me at about 70 metre and started flying back towards home. I got to 52 metres from me and then I got the warning that I was restricted to 50 metres distance and 30 metres altitude and it would no longer advance towards me.

I tried going back and forth but kept getting the warning when I reached 50 metre mark, I tried from different angles too but no good. I lowered altitude below 30 metres and was able to proceed then.

I tried back and forth past the 50 metre distance and 30 metre altitude and if I was above 30 metres it would not come back within 50 metres of me.

I managed to land, logged out of app, logged in etc but I had the restrictions from home then. Tried log out and in again a but no good so I deleted app and started again and all was good.

I've tried to look at my flight on playback but it is not logged in my records.

Anyone had this before, where it was outside of the 'restricted zone' and wouldn't come back in? I was lucky that I could descend at the distance to get back home.

Latest DJI Go apps after 4.1.0 are more headache than anything else. Probably some bug with the log in process as it loging out solved you issue. My guess is that DJI is trying to plug the holes that led to the Mavic being unlocked and is introducing several bugs with latest firmware and DJI Go updates to curb the further unlocking.

Just to verify, you can not find the record of this flight on your app? Could you please try to connect your mobile device to a computer and look for the flight record file of this file? If you can find it, please help to export it and upload it to Dropbox so I can help to check. Or please contact our support support.eu@dji.com for help.
The exporting route: connect the device to the computer, launch the iTunes, find the flight records in the DJI GO app, and copy the FlightRecord folder to the computer.

I'll do that thank you Thor.

If you deleted the app before syncing the log, then that log is gone. ;(

There's the flight record in your AC, but we no longer have access to that via DJI Assistant in .1000. You can still export the black box data files, not sure if any of those also contain flight logs, though. Hopefully DJI Support has a solution for this?
