Turn off obstacle avoidance the you will go faster!

I'm sure it's the imu that's causing the problem, but I can't complete the calibration

It worked for me same until I changed stick response sensitivity to high. Maybe that's same in your case.

Yes, change the stick response and that should fix it

Yep, check obstacle avoidance and stick response.
If I remember right, the update did reset the one to "on" and the other one to 50% or such.

i have same problem. Mine is 9 km/h in P mode.

Turn off "Obstacle Avoidance" will go a little faster, but not as fast as in SPORT mode....

Also check on the settings for the joysticks to get the last kph / mph even with obstacle avoidance on

Isn't that how fast it's supposed to go when not in sport mode?

Afaik:

~11 km/h (w o/a)
~22 km/h (w/o o/a)
~50 km/h (w sp)

And less if joystick controll is not full sensive

Spark flies at no more than 6mph with obstacle avoidance on.
Spark flies at around 13mph with obstacle avoidance off.
Spark flies at around 30mph with Sport mode enabled.

I also noticed spark is flying much slower with this new update.
It could be possible that it has got to do with saving battery juice , as update was also concerning batteries.

Please refer to the IMU calibration tutorial below. The new firmware doesn't decrease the speed of flight, and the theoretical max speed is 6.7 mph in P mode when forward obstacle sensing is enabled. But if there is the wind, it might affect the speed. Please check your gain settings in MC Settings, you can also calibrate the RC.
