Funny and dumb. Just wait until you move down a bit and the rope gets in the props....

You know I flew it enough times and that was never a problem.  The down force from the props always kept the string pointed down!
But I never did fly it in sport mode like that, ha I bet that would be all bad.

A little dumb humor occasionally is good for you.

DJI should probably just include the kite string with the fly more combo.  

It works very well indeed - and makes it possibly exempt from regulations. If you just want photography..........

BTW , some very long flight obsevation drones actually are powered through an umbilacal.

Since we're exploring methods of flying, I'm working on a large but inconspicuous hat with hinged lid to take off any time when no one's looking.

Well , when a spark is tethered, it becomes a kite and so unrestricted. This is more than adequate for a lot of photography. My experiments show that  a thin string makes  no interference with the flyong performance. I read that in the USA at least there are no restrictions on a tethered drone other than if the lead is more than 150 meteres I think  lights must be on it at night at some specified  interval. Any other info welcome.
