Dust or other inside mavic pro camera

Hello ,
I received my new mavic pro last week and I have just seen that there is a problem on the images
this makes a blurry dark spot on light surfaces
it is clearly visible on the photos and videos
visible on a white support

photo taken by lighting the side lens with a lamp, the outside is clean, it's inside :-(

I am disappointed given the price of the drone
I sent a mail to the support


I hope this will work out,
someone has already encountered this problem ?

are u using nd filters? if so then these must be cleaned very carefully as they mark easily and require a bit of attention to clean all marks off properly. Even though i store mine in individual packets and take care not to get finger marks on the filter, each time i swop out i have to clean them again. other wise check that yr camera lense is free of marks. Ifg not this issue then unfortunately at a loss for what else it might be.

if you must send it back to dji then i suggest you take pictures of yr drone before you do.
We have had some (not many) users who might have benefited from taking pics before sending their drone back.
Not something you should worry about too much but if you are one who likes to take some precautions, then taking some images of yr drone is worth the small effort it takes.
If i had to send my drone in for a camera issue i would make inconspicuous tiny marks on various parts of my drone to be able to see what was changed / replaced when it returns.

how new is it?  can you return it and get another? like an exchange?  the issue with Dji repair centers they can be anything from incredibly quick and helpful to one of the worst experiences ever and a huge turn off so impossible to honestly say how good they can be, they arent consistant.    if you can i suggest returning it for refund to buy another or exchanging for another it claim it was defective camera..

dont worry about it!  i would exchange it still at store then you can contact DJi care refresh via email:  djicare@dji.com  but it maybe different for france and ask for a refund, they will instruct you what all info to provide them.  you can also probably transfer refresh to new Mavic Pro as long as it is brand new, they should allow it.

I took some pictures with the light this morning,
it seems to be confirmed, we can see like dust on the sensor
including one of fairly large size
I sent a message yesterday by the support form, I will wait for the answer

Hoping, as I said, that everything is going well and that there are no problems
The drone being new it would bother me that it is in worse state at the return

remain optimistic - there is a better chance of a good result than a bad one - especially now that djithor has his eye on it.
As for the time yu will loose without yr drone during repairs or replacement - it is just an unfortunately situation but better repaired/replaced than suffer with it eternally.

In any case I made a new flight today to confirm the problem that unfortunately is still present but other than that, the drone is really good

Hello ,
Finally I returned my mavic pro to the seller ( it's easier and maybe i can wait for buying the platinium later )
I have joined the chat support for dji care refund request
but the person (Max Support) told me first it was not possible , I have to wait for another and transfert the dji care
But in the terms of service it is indicated exactly the opposite
after discussion he told me to contact the service Monday and that there was no one left

Please can someone from dji can help me
All this seems very complicated

Finally I returned my mavic pro to the seller
What I regret, this can happen, but given the price it is annoying
It is to have received a defective device (dust in camera)
this mavic was my first DJI
I really appreciated this drone but this problem really spoiled my experience
That's why I returned it to the seller for refund
for the service (mavic care refresh refund), nothing wrong, my request was taken into account without problems
I could see a day to buy again a pack fly more combo Mavic Pro Platinum
I would see well, for now it is too expensive for me :-(

Hello,

I have the same problem than Stephane. I have dust inside the lens. I post some pictures to show you the dust inside the lens and the defect on every pictures and videos taken with my Mavic Pro.
I have the Mavic Pro since almost a year and I have the DJI Care Refresh. Do you think DJI Care Refresh covers my problem ?

Brand new out of the box, and there are micro dust particles behind the lens.
