Hi Everyone.  2 minutes into a flight yesterday the aircraft was hovering and stationary about 5 mtrs off the ground when the rear left motor seized and needless to say the aircraft took a rapid uncontrolled path towards the ground.  Before I could get to the aircraft (only 5-6 mtrs away) there was smoke coming out of the motor and it was far too hot to touch.  Switched everything off and took it back to base to cool down.
Once the motor had cooled down I set up another flight to test the situation and as soon as I started the motors the prop on that motor again seized, I tried this twice with the same results.  Anyone else had experience like this?

No, sounds like a defective motor that should be under warrantee.

How old is it ?   Why did ya do it the second time lol  ?

Hi Guys.  The unit is just under 12 months old , so hopefully a warranty  and I trialled it again on the ground to check that it wasn't just a one off and that there was definitely a fault.    Sunday over here so I will be contactng the supplier first thing in the morning. Cheers.

A crack in the body work on another motor stalk.

If you turn the motor by hand, does it turn normally?

(Just wondering what has gone wrong, there is clearly a fault.)
