Do you know how the Inspire-1 sets it's throttle on RTH mode?
Doesn't it "throttle-back" for more efficient battery use?

Hypothetically, I'm thinking if flying in strong wind (of which one shouldn't be flying in) and having flown downwind...that one could engage RTH and the aircraft would actually drift away from HOME if this throttle setting generates a horizontal speed of which is less than the wind speed. Did I explain this well enough?

This scenario could also happen if a strong wind unexpectedly comes up after take-off.

Please tell me what you think or know.

If this above "hypothetical" is true - perhaps this could explain SOME fly-a-ways.

Also (if true) - if a strong wind starts to come up after take-off - get up wind fast so RTH is downwind.

I did some RTH testing with my Inspire and found that in one flight I flew with the wind (30km/h)  and when i engaged the RTH function the bird actually drifted backwards and farther away from me while it was trying to return to home.  I highly suggest not relying on it on very windy days.
