When I take photos straight done from my mavic pro it seems that the color is not as vibrant as straight a head. I am using truecolor and even manuelly adjusted the exposure as I like -0.3ev  but the colors are just not the same. Example I am taking shot's today  - straight ahead the trees are green and the sky is blue,  but straight down the greens of the trees seems flat and are just not vibrant. If that is how trees look from overhead than please feel to call me an idiot and I will move one

I just think it is a matter of contrast. Perhaps if you were overhead looking down on those trees, that is exactly what they would look like. It is very hard to compare those photos because there is a difference in the amount of light the camera has to work with when you compare a landscape with lots of colours to straight down on a view that has little contrast.

Hi, The white balance was set to Sunny

Then it is probably the exposure change.
The shot from the landscape has high contrast because of the sky that is included in the frame.
Try manual exposure and keep everything equal between the two shots.
The tree shot will look too dark, but should look similar to the first shot you take (with the sky included).
Not what you would want, but just to test if everything looks the same.
I am pretty sure this is not a defect, but a way auto exposure works.

You will probably want to add some contrast to the 'down' picture in post.

You can try to switch AF to MF, adjust the ISO and EV settings to see will it help.

Always worth keeping the histogram on your screen and checking to see if it changes when you point the camera down to when it is in the horizontal. It gives you a quick check and then you can adjust settings before taking the picture.
