I think it would be difficult to install a Mavic propeller incorrectly. It should come off right at take off.
When I crashed my Mavic into a tree a couple of weeks ago, on one propeller one of those three hooks came off, but I simply glued it back in place using Superglue.

I guess it depends on your definition of "difficult" but I disagree. The propellers can be twisted only part of the way so that the locking tabs aren't locked into place, allowing it to fly for a while until one or more propellers come off.
As for your superglue repair, that's your choice but I definitely wouldn't recommend that to anyone. If one of the tabs had gotten loose it could have caused the motor to seize even if the other two tabs remained in place.
So, when the OP of this thread claims that one of his Mavic's propellers simply came off, his story makes me frown!
I think a lot of people have the same reaction to your implication that superglue is a reasonable replacement for a new set of propellers. And yes, I read your post where you said you replaced them . . . eventually. Again, that's your choice but not something that should be recommended to or by anyone. |
