theres no trick to getting google maps on DJI Go... if you use IOS you get the far better google maps but you cant cache areas in the app, if you use the android app you get the poorer Here maps but have the advantage that you can cache areas

I do not think that is correct. Go 4 for IOS uses Apple Maps, not Google, at least on my iPad Mini 4.

I more than often using my iPad mini 4 non cellular and usually forget to test her to my iPhone for data. Not having the map available doesn’t really bother me.

Update

For the entire week I had Here maps instead of Google..... still haven't a clue on how it happen to switch between the two....
I read the guide on how to have Gmaps but I don't whant to try, that solution is only temporary.
Keep fly and testing so far so good ;)
