it looks like it would happen when you reduce the power for decent. The aircraft gets a bit unstable. There might be a shaking impact on the gimbal which results in over stressing and leads to a short hibernation of the gimbal. The jello comes with the horizontal vibration at that moment combined with a short shutter - due to sunlight and no ND filter used...  I am not a Zenmuse expert, but on the BaseCam SimpleBGC 32-bit gimbal electronic it is possible to increase the motor power, so the torque can resist the shaking impact. I am sure Zenmuse can be set up somehow as well...

perfect balancing of the camera in the gimbal is a must too!

The camera won't move in the gimble at all. Once its in that is it. Its position is fixed.   And i wasn't decending..  everytime the gimble dropped in the video i was moving forward. When i push the start record button on the gopro and push against the gimble motors a little they will vibrate so I'm pretty sure that is where the jello in the video comes from right b4 it drops. Clearly the is some force on the gimble motors from the props because there was 0 wind that day in the video.  So dji needs to up the motor power or recall these gimbles and replace them witj 1 that can handle the adore turbulence from their machine. My f550 has stock e300 motors and stock props so i don't think i should have to deal with this.  I spent $3000 on this stuff to get good videos and stuff and I'm not able to do it.  The place i bought the h3-3d has replaced it twice for this issue and all 3 are doing this. Also they won't refund my money, i argued about that because i was going to buy a tatot gimble or the feiyu-tech gimble because no one is complaining about them like everyone is complaining about these H3 &4-3d gimbles..

at least come out with a kit to fix this issue DJI, the internet, you tube,  and forums are riddled with these go pro gimbles having motor issues.  Buzzing, vibrating, dropping out,

everything else dji works excellent, no problems or complaints but these gimbles aren't working right.

Someone please come up with a fix for these motor issues on the gimbles!

How do I do that? I plug the gimbal into my computer and open the assistant software and it says there are no updates and that the firmware is up to date.  It has version 1.12 on it now....  Before I updated it, it had version 1.4 on it..

I can't find firmware version 1.7 for my H3-3D Zenmuse gimble

Please advise.....

Thank You,

Ah, DJI - such a 'customer service' oriented company, eh? They're in such a rush to push the H4-3D gimbal when they haven't even fixed all the problems with the H3-3D. I like their propulsion systems (I'm using E300 and E600 systems in two builds) but I will never buy their overpriced Z-15 gimbals. Can you imagine the dread of dropping $2,500 on that and then experiencing problems without proper support? No thanks. I'm using other gimbals for my F550 and Tarot 680p hexes.

Please check if your gimbal's firmware are already updated to the latest.
If no, please upgrade.
If yes, what aircraft are you using? Please place the aircraft on the ground, power on , check the aircraft  vibrate or not. If yes, reduce the vibration. This kind of gimbal reaction is related to the vibration.
Try reduce the aircraft vibration and replace softer gimbal damping ball.

Are you suggesting I use the softest vibration dampers? Right now I have the gray ones that are fairly rigid.

Gimbal's firmware has been updated to the latest. I'm using it on a Tarot 680 Pro hexacopter with the H3-3D GCU. I did a vibration analysis isolating each motor and there is no discernible vibration. Did another video test this morning where the wind was much more active. As you can see, the gimbal is constantly resetting. My opinion is that the gimbal is overly sensitive to motion - not vibration - motion. A gimbal is supposed to keep the camera steady when pitching and rolling. Slight vibrations or wind should not cause it to go limp and reset. My next troubleshooting task is to switch out the GCU with the older H3-2D GCU to see if that makes a difference.

If Pan motor bumps againtst the platform, this may cause the failure you met. I think your gimbal's installation should have no this problem.
Please try changing the GCU, if still doesn't help, I suggest you send the gimbal for test and repair.

Pan motor does not touch the platform at all. I will let you know how the test with the old GCU works.

Finally hooked up the H3-2D GCU and it is a slight improvement. Please see video below. It starts out okay and in similar wind conditions as in my test #2. I can do exaggerated pitch and roll and the gimbal does fine. But when I give it some altitude and wind hits the gimbal it doesn't hold for long.
