I am very eager to be just getting started in the drone community! What is a good editing software people use for their photos/ videos?

LightRoom (photos)
Adobe P.Pro (videos)

but def there are more better out there... DaVinci Resolve is one of the fav from my choice.

Hi JamesF03 I am usign adobe premiere and it works fine.

The best is what works for you.  I use Vegas 14 Studio

I use Photoshop (I know, overkill) and iMovie for photo and video editing, respectively.

Lightroom for photos and Filmora for videos. Not all that impressed with Filmora, this winter when things slow down a bit and I have time to fiddle with it, switching to DaVinci Resolve

LightRoom for photos and Adobe Premeire Pro for videos

I use Lightroom and power director 15, I know premiere pro is better but for me I can't justify the expense.

Go for Corel VideoStudio v. 10.

Hi,

I've a question regarding Corel Video Studio 10.

On the editing window when I click on "clip", the movie is super choppy. When I click on "project" it s smoother but not perfect.

I've a powerfull computer but it doesn't work well. I've contacted Corel's customer service and I'm now on the level 2 of the support.

I've recorded my movies with the Mavic Pro.

Have you ever had problems editing videos with Corel that comes from your drone? Or is it just me? Because as I said I ve a very powerfull computer.

You may think you have a powerful computer, but why not tell us what the specs are on that computer. It sounds very much like your computer is really not powerful enough.

The support level 2 at Corel told me I had a better computer than them and for some reason my clips aren't choppy on their machine.

OK, that is potentially a very fast machine. The 7700K processor is quite good, but only 4 cores. Forget about the Intel HD graphics, as your monitor should be plugged into the GTX1080 board anyway, bypassing the Intel section. For best performance, your operating system should be on an SSD, the 512GB  SSD would be good for that, as long as it is a fast one, the Samsung 850 Pro series are among the best for that, and also a good price. Also, keep your video clips on another 512GB SSD, separate to the one holding the OS, and relegate the 2TB HDD to archiving, not operations.

Corell may not have the latest and best codecs for handling H.264 and H.265, you may find another editor does a better job. I would suggest you try Blackmagic Da Vinci Resolve 14, there is a free version you could try. It is still in development, and will end up streets ahead of the piad-up editors in a short time.

I do had some problems only with the X9 version but not X10 version. Now, according to your question It seems there is some thing wrong with the installation programming.

Yes, you do have a powerful PC and the problem is with the Corel version that you got.

Final Cut Pro x if your using Mac, it’s about $300 but once off payment Lightroom premier pro but these are expensive.

let me provide you with some tips that may help. Corel VideoStudio needs before installation the followings:

If you can! Install Netframework v. 3.5 and v. 4.x  ( you should have also the latest version as well)  before installing corel.

make sure you have "QuickTime" player before installing Corel.

Ok. Great. For example, I don't have quick time media player. You could work at Corel level 2's support ;-) it seems you know your stuff. If I cannot get it work well pretty soon, I will ask for the refund and go for the PowerDirector 16 that seems nice too ;-)

All right drone fans. The support has surrender and they cannot help me. I've to say the customer service is great and they really do their best. I d recommend the program to anyone. It just seems  that in my case it doesn't work.

Now I've to decide which program to use. I'm hesitating between my power director 16 or adobe element. Any thoughts?
