Can I get some feedback (Pro's and Con's) from folks who have used GS Pro.  It's a DJI product, but there isn't a lot of conversation about it.  

Seems like a good feature wish you have it on the remote with the screen

Robert, the threads of GS Pro are spread in many sections. Most threads can be found in Pro System section, please check there.

MrRobert5823 i would have to agree i too looked there for other stuff its a little hit and miss have you tried other forums? they would most likely be a better chance for you.

Ground Station Pro is an improvement on the original. It's pretty comprehensive and includes such perks as a 3D map. Here is a link for more information on this point: http://www.dji.com/ground-station-pro

I have used GS Pro quite a bit for rock quarry mapping via my Phantom 4 Pro.  It works better than Map Pilot for DJI, Pix4dCapture, and DroneDeploy in my opinion.

Pros: The Phantom can be calibrated straight from the app.  No need to jump back and fourth with DJI Go 4.
I can see battery voltage while flying. Big plus, I lost a Phantom 4 while using Map Pilot due to a dropping voltage that I did not see via the app.
I can unlock advanced unlock zones natively in the app.

Cons: I wish it showed approximate locations that the photos were taken while mapping.

Yesterday a whole flight line failed to take pictures and I had to re-fly.

It only works on iPad. I wish I could use my iPhone 7+ as well.

It does not flow the drone down to account for low lighting. (Reduces image smear).

Let me know if you have any specific questions. I've mapped about 40 sites using the app so far. Over 100 with Map Pilot for DJI (my second favorite app).  I've even flown a site twice with both apps and the image spacing was about the same.

Many industrial uses for the drone will use the Ground Station. In a way it is to help with consistency of work.

Yeah, I will play with it more this weekend.

Hard to mess up too bad with the app.  Just figure out what you need for overlap specs and if you are mapping a flattish area or an area with steep vertical terrains.  This will dictate if you need to angle the camera other than straight down, mapping vertical walls is better done at a 45 degree angle.

I just did my home lastnight... only 16 pics... and all at the same elevation.  I am assuming that it will not be pretty... Thanks for the update though...

What are you doing with the photos? Just stitching a ortho photo using Photoshop? Or actually trying to extract 3D data using a software or a service such as Pix4D?  I mapped some rock quarries for a client in Maui this week.  Aloha!

Drone Deploy and it was my first time using it.  I found out I need way more pics than I gave it (Still learning)

@djiuser_kjjQSd I find your testimony re: GSPro to echo another mapper pilot that I know who weekly maps golf courses. So with that in mind I would like to know of your more current experience with GSPro. Have there been updates to the app which make it even better than a year ago.

And one last question - what would your preferred mapping image acquisition app be for the Android OS, if you ever use Android displays.
