Considering people are having clearance sales on Phantoms I'd have to agree that it's probably a new Phantom.

And some very interesting ad on's to the Inspire. Hopefully DJI can show who leads in drone inovation.     

Fingers crossed they'll have some info on the release date & pricing of the Inspire 1 hand-held mount as well.

...and perhaps a sneak peak of what DJI has been doing since they joined that micro 4/3 standards group...

Would love to see a pro camera option for the inspire, plus they'll probably formally release the hand held gimbal.

I more think the triple broadcast link and in combination with the new handheld gimble 4K.

If I were forced to speculate:

A THERMAL camera and gimbal for the Inspire-1

I do know FLIR (and others thermal people) and DJI have been negotiating the thermal adaption.

The timing seems about right based on my listening and reading between the lines.

BUT - THE ABOVE IS PURE SPECULATION ON MY PART.

hahahaha!!! a little over engineered? or too little? I think if he was to have a servo arm that pushes and grabs the branches as opposed to just smack them.. lol! might actually cut twigs!!

This type of tool might come in handy for Zombie apocalypse... like in Walking Dead!!

Perhaps its to announce that they finally have ALL the fixes for the Inspire, that's what they really should be concentrating on.

The announcement will be for an updated DJI Ronin 2. Lighter more responsive. To be released for preview at NAB 3 days later.

One would think that you should rather fix the problems with the Inspire 1 that people are experiencing...before you go ahead of introducing new products.....don't understand how there mind works....it feels like it's becoming a money making racket and that we are the beta testing crash dummies......the products are coming out before the new firmware by the looks of it all..........

It's the Phantom 3. It's been semi confirmed by inside sources.

It doesn't make sense, from a business aspect, to keep the phantom 2 series going considering that they would have to sell it at a cheaper price than the phantom 3 standard.

I think you could be right R&L, somethings has got to be coming at NAB and it's probably a slightly more "pro" product. Even though the X5R is just shipping, an inspire 2 could happen since they'll probably keep the cameras interchangeable. If they aren't, then I think they are probably just waiting for NAB to release the OSMO adapter which is annoying just to have something to show. >

I did a quick Google search and the April I announcement was last year....where is the link where you saw this?

No one is reading all the posts....as I sad in the post above, this thread is from 5th of April 2015......

Yes this is an old post, but I think R&L is correct regardless. With NAB a week and a half away, Dji is bound to make an announcement of some sorts.
