Hi guys im new to this forum but have been flying drones for quite awhile now. And have recently purchased a p4p.
Can someone please explain the ranking system used i see a few captains and different ranked pilots.
Or is there somewere i can read up about this

Yes there is a set system for this...it is based on points which you accumulate by making posts, starting threads, participating in polls, and a few others.  To start, go to you your homepage, by clicking on your icon in the upper right.  Then go to reminders on the left bottom and select, once there go to the top and select system reminds.  Once there you need to select the most current and review what you are currently allowed to do here.  Next read the forum rules, they sell out the point system and how you can level up.  If you just go to Phantom and at the top of the threads list you'll see the post for the rules & regs.

Well that's one way to look at it...
However, as you should note obtaining points is financially desirable too.  Each 180 points is worth $1 US or similar for the currency of your stated country.  You cannot redeem any points until you reach a minimum of 1800 points, that will take a lot of talking...errr typing, whatever.
On your homepage you can see your points and learn more...
Which means it can be all about the $$ not just blathering, although many do do that, but there are also some highly knowledgeable people here too that can help with issues etc.  Some may not have much of a bedside manner but they do know what they are talking about.

Awesome guys thanks for the input.
Hopefully ill come up with some footage im actually allowed to post here.
I use the drone alot for search and rescue and to assist in fighting bush fires so much of my footage is not for public viewing

More likely they are helpful contributors who put in a lot of time helping people analyze their flights, locate their lost drones, and post some nice videos and photos.
