Hi All,

Quick question: Can you use the DJI Assistant Application (IOS) for Phantom 4 Pro to upgrade the Phantom 4!?.....Or does the P4 has to be upgraded with it's of Assistant App!?!?

The DJI Assistant works across all platforms.   Phantom 4, 4 Pro &+, Phantom 4 Advanced, Mavic...etc.

I would recommend you to download the corresponding DJI Assistant 2 under Phantom 4 page.

Its not, its the same model for all

so....PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS:

1) FOR PHANTOM 4 PRO: DJI Assistant 2 v1.1.2-2 / 2017-06-19 (http://www.dji.com/phantom-4-pro/info#downloads)
2) FOR PHANTOM 4: DJI Assistant 2 v1.1.6 / 2017-09-15 (http://www.dji.com/phantom-4/info#downloads)

Again, Is there a difference between these 2 versions and also will this affect the drones if i don't use the one suggested by DJI!?.....Might this be the cause of so many issues with firmware updates!?!?

Well I am glad you brought this up because I have a Mavic and a Phantom 4 Pro and just assumed the Assistant 2 software was the same but it is a different version.
Mavic is v 1.1.6
P4 Pro is v1.1.2-2

I guess I will have to install both versions.

Very interesting observation, let's see what explains DJI with regard to the differences.

Hello, I have been waiting for some sort of resolution to my issues after the last upgrade, I am having difficulty flying over 1000 ft away from me , were i was able to fly well over a mile, i have uninstalled and reinstalled the software twice, calibrated and re calibrated the drone. any advice?

I just use the latest version V1.1.6. DJI just seem a little slow in rolling it out across the download pages for each model. For those that need any detail it is given in the release notes Here. These release notes also show detail of previous versions.

What's current firmware of aircraft and controller? Please try to adjust the antenna and see whether it helps.

I live in a residential neighborhood with lots of interference. I can only get about 1000 feet away before I lose signal lock. That auto RTH worked great.
