So I own an Osmo handle that I use the X3 camera from my Inspire 1 on. I have had it since they were released and I have had zero problems with it. I have used it extensively since I got it. I love this little camera. I purchased another X3 so the Osmo would have it's own camera as I used it so much I didn't want to keep changing the camera back and forth.
I recently purchased the Gimbal Extention so I could mount the camera on a helmet serperate of the handle.

My problem: when I use the Gimbal Extention Cable I loose the vidio image, everything else is fine. I can still shoot video and take pictures, set the camera etc. just on image on the screen.  If I remove the Extention Cable and reinstall it it will work until I turn off the handle, When I turn the handle on again there will be no image again. But when I put the camera back on the handle all is fine the problem is gone.

So I believe the cable is defective, but before I return it I thought I would check to see if this was a known issue and maybe there was a fix.

This is the first issue I have had this any of the accessaries I have bought for my Osmo.

Thanks in advance for any input you may have. Oh my firmware is NOT up to date, it's where I want it, and that is not the issue here.

Fred,if the communication between Gimbal Extention Cable and X3 camera is abnormal, you can try to wipe the copper sheet of the extension with 95% alcohol. I would also recommend you flash your firmware with SD card.
If the problem still exists, please contact our support and send it back: http://www.dji.com/support.
