If you want to transfer the video to your Mac, the only clue I have in my mind now is connecting your drone to Mac to access it.

This works on Win 10 but not sure with mac. If you connect the ipad to the computer, you can use Itunes to look at the folders in the DJI GO 4 app and you can then copy over the video cache to your pc.

I think I am right in saying if you download to your remote (iPad), the files can be seen in the Photos app, then use iCloud to save them there (iCloud) and access from your mac from iCoud. That way way you should be able to access them to any iCloud device.
Hope this works and helps, if not you can take the mini SD card from the phantom 4 put it in a adapter and use the adapter to load to your Mac if you have a SD card slot, if not use a SD card reader (usb) to the Mac.

That should work, but remember you are copying the awful, potentially glitchy, preview copy of the video and stills. The only place to get clean versions is off the SD card in the aircraft.

In this case, if you really want to effectively transfer videos from your iPad to your Mac, you can choose to use the Mac software Image Capture. Here are the steps to transfer video from your iPad to your Mac using Image Capture:
Step 1. Connect your iPad to your Mac and turn on image capture
Connect your iPad to your Mac using a USB cable and open Image Capture on your Mac. This program is pre-installed on all Mac computers.
Step 2. Select iPad on Image Capture
Select the iPad as the device on the left side of the panel, and all the images and video lists displayed on the iPad will now appear on the right side of the panel.
Step 3. Select the desired video
From the list of given videos, select the video you want to transfer to your Mac. The screenshot given below shows a selected video and press "Import".
Step 4. Select the destination folder
Select the folder on your Mac where you want to save the selected video. The screenshot is given below shows "Pictures" as the selected folder.
Step 5. After the video is successfully transferred, a tick appears in the lower right corner of the thumbnail.

In this situation,MobiKin Assistant for iOS (Mac version)is what you need. This is a free charge software that can help you plug iPad into Mac and transfer files between iPad and Mac directly.

What's the point? The images and video clips on the iPad are the crap FPV copies, all at a far lower quality and resolution compared to the originals on the SD card from the aircraft.
