Version mismatch means bricked MAV. Had to send it in for repair

There was nothing wrong with the update, my other Mavic updated no troubles.

Strange it happened to one and not the other, same process, same download, computer and USB cables?

Now I will be more cautious upgrading.

After the 9-19 update I am getting error code 110 and cannot use the intelligent flight modes.

What is the firmware version before and after you update?
Could you please provide us the screenshot of error code and log and black box data for further assistance?
Please find log in C：/Users/XXXXXX/AppData/Roaming/DJI Assistant 2/upgrade_log.
Please export black box from DJI Assistant 2, thanks for your time.

Have you sent in the drone for evaluation and repair? We have also reported the issue to our engineers.
Please provide us the case number if you need any assistance during repair process.

is this just me or anyone else experiencing weakened signal bond resulting in range reduction? me with previous firmware can reach 2 km easily, with this firmware my mavic prone to signal interference and unable to reach the same distance as before

Experienced pilots do not allow the app to fly for them. I'll do my own quick shots, thanks anyway.

Goodday, I also have problems with updating my Mavic Pro to version 1.04.000 OR V01.03.1000. I used the DJI Pro 4 APP and the DJI Assistant 2. the DJI Assistant 2 programs gives the following message:

"Firmware incompatibility detected between some modules and current device. Update firmware?"

According to the Assistant the drone has V01.03.0550. Update fails at 44% with the following errorcode: undefined 0x020106. (On the DJI APP it fails at 70%)

The Controller is at 1.04.300 (Cant downgrade it to the version of the drone.)

I bought the drone directly via DJI.

The controller and drone can communicate with each other, can do everything except flying because of the firmware mismatch.

Really do not know if this is going to help.. but maybe just try?
Reset to factory defaults and restart everyhting.
Try upgrading with latest DJI assistant again.


I also had version 550, first removed and installed latest version android app. on tablet.
Then upgraded with DJI assistant the remote.
After that did the Mavic itself, everything seems to work for now(only tested 10 minutes of flying).

Nope, didn't do anything, still stopping at 70% with the app

contact DJI and ask for beta software update.
Follow their procedure and hopefully this will get your mavic back into the air

I contacted DJI, but currently on work, and have no access to my e-mail. I hope it will fix it. As the drone seems to be fine, except for the version mismatch. (Or I could use it as a very expensive 4k camera with no sound but with gimball )

Dr_Prometheus this happened to me, I've got the beta, I couldn't upgrade either and after a long suffering with the terrible DJI GO and Assistant I had to send it back and they replaced it.. Now it works...

Hi, the beta is available to your account, please follow the instrument:
1. Log into your DJI account on DJI Assistant.
2. Upgrade the firmware V 01.03.0813.
3. Once it's done, please press the "Record" button on RC and make sure it's recording, then start to upgrade firmware to the latest version, it will be working.

I also am having a problem updating my firmware.  I've tried everything after a lot of research and reading up this forum and still no luck.  I just got my Mavic yesterday and now I can't even fly because it's telling me that I need to update my firmware first.

What message are you seeing on screen ??  I have never had a message for an update that stopped me flying and I have had my Mavic for over a year. You can just choose to not update.

The RC successfully upgraded to the latest but not the Mavic itself. It doesn't matter which version I choose. Because of that, it prevents take off unless I upgrade first. The message is along those lines.

I've seen so many threads where people are complaining of the same thing and couldn't fly their drones.

OK .... yes a partial  update won't allow you to fly have you raised a support ticket ??
