I was able to finally go to fly at Dinner Key after the hurricane about a week ago. A lot of the bigger mess was already picked up, but I was still able to capture a few sunken and landed sailboats.
Wow. Nice shots! Thanks for sharing. I’m in Boca, but between work & family obligations I haven’t flown since Irma. Had to chuckle/cry a bit, seeing the sailboats washed up on what is likely a $10+ million bayside property. Not that I don't feel for the people's loss, that sucks. But seeing such a beautiful property which likely has perfect landscaping have boats washed up in the yard..
Thank you guys! I really wanted to go before, right after the storm, but the airspace was very busy with helis and smaller aircrafts. I saw a few pics of some guys that did go right after the hurricane hit and it was way worse than this.

Very, very nice. Can I ask what your Canera settings were for these? also, any post work done on them?
Camera was left is auto, but I did use the tap to set exposure point feature so the white of the boats would be correctly exposed. Then did some color correction on Lightroom.
Thanks for sharing these images. As the owner of one of the boats (third from last pic) I can't hardly explain how terrible it feels. Even worse is that for some those sailboats used to be their homes.

Im sorry about your boat . You are right, a lot of people wont know that these sail boats were home to many. I even heard of a few riding out the storm on these, which for me its crazy!
