Spectacular the mavic flying in the snow that cold, very cold.

i think it does fairly good in extremes..  not sure how cold it was there, but it does not have to get that super cold to have a lot of snow.. last year in fact it, i got 34 inches of snow in just 1 day (overnight and lingering into next day) and it wasn't that cold.. like +15F (-9.5C) -  +20F(-6.5C) which given the amount of snow wasn't that brutally cold, usually we would expecting -10F (-23.3C) or colder for such a snow storm..  but most of our winter snowfall happened around freezing point that year.. ~32F (0C)

im curious to see how the mavic pro holds up in the snow for us here or my farm in the mountains.. im hoping we get alot of snow and cold air, because i really want to push my mavic pro..

Wow really nice! Just wondering about the challenges you face flying in the snow

Main challenge is the gimbal/camera. The cold would cause focus issues at times and cause the gimbal to stutter and 'bounce'. It happened sporadically so I was able to get good shots and edit around the occasional glitches. Also, keeping batteries warm prefight is key. I fly in cold conditions with dry snow. Flying in wet/maritime snow climates may result in your drone getting soaked.

Absolutely beautiful! Most ski areas near me are "no drone zones", but they are more crowded too.

Catch landing or did you have a dry spot? I was expecting snow angel mavic prints.
