Can the charger that comes with the dron charge both the radio and a battery at the same time? Is that explained in the manual?

Thx in advance

Yes, the charger manages both an battery and the RC at the same time. Just go ahead.

I'm charging both right now. But I have read in manual that they don't recommend to charge both, I don't know why.

Can you please provide me a reference on that manual quote page # and section?
I've looked in mine (P4P) and can't seem to find it or remember seeing it.
Thanks

I'll try to find. Soon I post here.

It takes a long time charging both, better separate.

It may be just the P4 charger, I think the P4P charger is a little more powerful.

If the charger gets uncomfortably hot then do one at a time, otherwise don't worry!

Understood...I think you saw my thread on "hot"
Don't know what uncomfortable is to most, but mine is peaking at about 156 degrees F just charging the batt

Normal plastic starts to melt above 90C so that is where I would start to worry, also some capacitors can have problems above 90C.   Your 156F is not a concern.

I think the car charger is more of an issue.

Yeah, better not to overheat above 50 ~60 C. Thats what manual says!

Copy that
A) lets hope this is not normal plastic
B) with only a 30 to 40 degree margin not much more room for getting hotter

I would recommend you to charge the controller and battery separately. Overcurrent may make the charger hot.

I wanted to have the advantage of charging a battery and my RC at the same time.
To make that convenient, I bought a second OEM 100w charger to help maintain my four intelligent flight packs.
Cuts my charging time in half. I also found a smart way to keep the charger cool when charging.
I place my charger and batteries on top of a double fan that can be tilted upward towards the ceiling.

Works like a charm...
