Hi, sorry for the uneasiness on activating your drone. I would like to ask what error message are you getting on the DJI Go 4 app upon attempting to activate the drone? Could you please try to directly connect your phone to your aircraft and try to activate it again? Please keep us posted on the latest progress.

For me, the only thing that worked was doing it manually. Since I could not connect to the Spark WiFi and my home’s WiFi at the same time, I had to switch back and forth between the two. Whenever it wanted me to connect to wireless, I connected to my home WiFi. When it wanted me to reconnect to the drone, I connected back to the drone. It was long and complicated, but it worked. Been using it for a few months with no problems. I have to go through the same basic process for every firmware update, but it is a lot shorter than the initial activation process.

Hi there, glad to know you have figured out your issue, the activation failure could be caused by different reasons, if you have any further concern, please keep us updated.

Doesn’t work for me either I tried two different ios phones and nothing it Samsung works but you can do it manually you don’t need to do scan

I have tried everything to activate my new spark - both connect via Drone and via RC. Both activate via 3G and via Wifi. Using my iPhone6S. Everything tells me activation failure.
Please help me.

SOLUTION:  I had the same problem today. Brand new spark didn't want to connect during activation ("connection error ect. and later "activation error") (iPhone X ). I tried a few times. Than tried from another phone - Android (Huawei Pro20) - there were no problems at all :-). So I activated and firsT connected to spark via Android, then returned for regular play with IphoneX and it was OK.

I had the same problem today (2019-05-15). I tried a few times with my iPhone X. Than changed to Android Huawei 20Pro and problem solved :-). No problems with activation, I finished activation on Android and then returned to iPhoneX for regular play with spark.

It's not only you, my friend, I have the same problem with spark, I bought it in 5 days and I still can not activate it. There is another mavic topic where they have the same problem.

I just purchased a Spark on Amazon, and it came in fully functional, just giving me this error repeatedly, this would be a less confusing issue except I am using the connection which I was to get this error right now on this page, what is the way to stop this?

Support says the servers have issues and to try activating again tomorrow.
