Hi All,

Just got my new focus Handwheel 2 to use with my Osmo Raw.
I accidentally used the wrong cable (Cable intended for the Osmo Focus and not the Focus Handwheel 2)  After upgrading the firmware to OSMO_FC550R_FW_V01.04.00.70 the Handwheel didn't work and I can no longer control focus or aperture from the app.  Even when the handwheel isn't connected. The aperture stays fixed at 1.7 and there's no way to control the focus. Tapping the screen for focus also doesn't work anymore. When looking at the logfile on the SD card it says "FOCUS not connect" . Tried downgrading the firmware to OSMO_FC550R_FW_V01.03.00.40, but the problem stays. Also after upgrading back to OSMO_FC550R_FW_V01.04.00.70 without the cable attached the problem still persists.

I ordered the correct cable, but it wasn't in stock and they cannot say how long it will take to deliver, so I'd like to be able to control focus and aperture from the app in the meantime. Is there a way to factory restore the OSMO handle and/or the zenmuse X5r. Or do you guys have any other thoughts on this?

OK.. Focus is back. For some reason... I flashed and updated the firmware a couple of times and also flipped the AF/MF switch on the lens a couple of times and for some reason the tap-focus works again, but still aperture is fixed at 1.7.

Please select M or A mode, the aperture will be controlled.

Thanks for your reply.  It's definitely in M-mode, but aperture stays fixed at 1.7. It doesn't even display other stops. Please see picture below.

Think I fixed the problem somehow!
I reinstalled the app on my phone and now it's working again.

Wow, brilliant, that is great, hope you have a good time with it.

Since today, the focus of my OSMO pro can't be changed by app or handwheel.
Only by turning the lens-ring.
But that is not possible while recording.
The app sees that the focus wheel is connected (blue LED lights up)
But turning the wheel doesn't give any response.
Already updated the app, restart the Osmo as well as the Iphone.
Neither focussing by tapping on the screen doesn't work

Hi Henk,

In the picture you've sent the focus is on Auto. To use the handwheel turn it to manual. On the lens itself it should be on Auto.

Also in Manual the focus can't be changed.
Scrolling in the app on phonescreen (macro to endless) doesn't work neither.
On my lens is no switch. M to A

Are you using the App or handwheel on the Focus? Have you hooked it up to the Focus Assistant software and defaulted to factory settings?   http://www.dji.com/focus/info#downloads

Have I download 'DJI Focus Assistant Software v2.4 2016-07-26' and add it to my I-phone?
Usually I connect the cable of the handwheel to the Osmo and when the app opens I can change focus by handwheel.
I never touch the lens, but since a few days I have to, because turning the handwheel gives no change in focus.

The assistant software is for a computer, not an iPhone. You would need a computer to download the software to.

I've download this on my PC. So these .dmg file is on my computer. Add this to the Iphone as well?

When using Focus Handwheel 2 with the OSMO Pro/RAW, the Osmo Pro/RAW - Handwheel 2 Communication Cable is required. May I know if the Handwheel can be detected? Will the status LED light up? Please make sure the Power Switch has been toggled to 'On'.
