It's only me?? When I go to Find my Drone in the app, it shows a straight line to somewhere in China... This came after the app update.... I already made 10 flights after the update and the issue continues...

What is the APP version? Could you please provide me some screenshots or a short video about this issue? A screenshot of the Flight Record List page and a screenshot of the Find My Drone page will be highly appreciated.

Maybe your app, is telling you that your drone is a Mavic Platinum being made in china and you need to go get it

Are the two Mainland China options turned off in the app?

I have the same problem, Go 4.1.11 on latest firmware on an iPhone 7.

In my DJI GO 4 app for Android I have two China Mainland options - see attached screenshot.

Ahh, that explains it, thanks --  the iOS app uses different maps and only has the one option.

I wish DJI would make those DJI GO 4 apps identical for iOS and Android.
This is not the first time that there has been a misunderstanding because of differences in those two OS versions.

On Android my MP is on a location in The Netherlands where I flew 8 days ago... did fly 2 days ago on a location nearby... that location should be the location where to find my drone.

As for my iOS device... My MP last location is at the factory of DJI I supose... maybe some bits on de server were dropped or some engineer wrote some faulty script for the app...

I have the same issue, it points to the Shahe golf course in Shenzhen!  iPhone 6, latest DJIgo app.  I have not flown since updating firmware, just bench testing to reset various settings that had been changed to default.

... I just keep flying ...

I just hope that the bird doesn't think "home" is in China and want to go back there in case it needs to RTH....

At least 3 cases here showing the same bug... I hope DJI solve this issue ASAP....

Ugh. sigh. I may have eventually found the downed bird, but it was over very uneven ground (industrial ruins, really) and heavily overgrown -- the feature, once I figured it out, was a lifesaver.

I can very well imagine it, but this feature simply does not work on Android devices!
This is not fair, iOS users can find their DJI drones, Android users cannot.

This is obviously the big weakness at DJI and a frustrating experience for the DJI users:

The other day I accidentally landed my Mavic in tall grass and I would have loved to be able to use the ESC beeping feature!

Machina, thanks for the info, just confirmed with our engineers, we'll fix this in the next update. For the Map Correction, this option is only used to correct the map on the Mainland of China.

Hi ro_flyer, this is a bug since 4.1.10 and we will fix this asap in 4.1.12.

Appears to be addressed in this morning's iOS app update.

There is a labeling typo where the time-missing unit of measure is always singular -- for example, mine now says it's been "4 day" instead of "days."

I’m guessing there is some guy on a golf course in China collecting the worlds flyaways. At least we now know where flyaways are going, mystery solved.

Lots of things like this are simple commands and platform independent so its inexcusable DJI dont implement those features on both platforms at the same time.

Im sure they have two different dev teams that write their own libraries and resources, share nothing and talk to each other even less.

No wonder that we constantly have misunderstandings on the forum between users who have access to features in the iOS version of DJI GO 4 app, which do not exist in the Android version.

I need a clarification.
I’m on iOS,and for me as well find my drone always  showed China...but then I understood that find my drone does not automatically update drone location when you fly (which I think is how it should be), but rather updates the location only when you are connected AND open the find my drone feature. It’s a sperate feature vs. Regular controls.

Is this normal behavior or should find my drone automatically update drones last location as you fly?
