Sorry, not seeing IOS update. I am on 11.0.1. iPhone says no updates available...

Looking forward to testing CPU Overload/hot iPad this afternoon with Go 4.1.12 and IOS 11.0.1 iPad Mini2. It's about 90F here in South Georgia, USA. Fingers crossed...

I have had the same issue, first noticed back in June. Mavic was perfect until i started seeing the CPU overload message, choppy live feed and iPad getting hot. DJI is aware and says there will be a fix with the next set of updates, per Thor. But i wouldn't say this is entirely DJI's fault. I did some testing today. iPad Mini2 32GB, ios 11, all latest DJI Go 4 and firmware. Earlier this week, i got the CPU message at about 25 minutes total, 20 minutes on the first battery, then land change battery, and maybe 5 minutes into the second. This ended my day. I had driven about 4 hours just to film at this spot. This has happened several time this summer.
Today, i reset my iPad back to IOS 10.3.3 and reloaded DJI Go 4. I flew through all 3 batteries, about 55 minutes without a problem. The iPad did not get hot, not even a little. I would guess Apple made some changes along the way that affected DJI's code. I am confident DJI will catch up. In the meantime, if you have a iPad dedicated for flying, try downgrade to IOS 10.3.3 until it gets fixed. It worked for me, but do it at your own risk. IOS 10.3.3 is still signed and available here: https://ipsw.me/. Use itunes to restore.

This worked for me also! I am not updating GO or iOS for a while now that it is working.
I also did refresh the latest FW on both RC and AC but I have heard this is not necessary.

For now I will pass on any updates until Apple and DJI start holding hands and are getting along a bit better.

We will never know. DJI does not say as I think that would be admitting there is a problem to begin with. ;)

Results are still the same !!!!!!  update did not help.

First 10 minutes of flight are fine, then CPU warning pops ups and the video lags starts and proceeds to just get worse.

I then put my Ipad in front of AC unit in truck, cooled it off and ran another battery again, first 10 minutes are fine and the CPU warning shows itself followed by LOTS of video lag

The Go4 app is overheating my device

This test was done with the latest Go4 app as of today 9/29/17.....Video cache is off airplane mode is on

Another test just completed................I took a ice pack with me this time wrapped in a towel that my ipad sat on the entire time, 2 full batteries with no CPU warn and zero lag

But to be honest with you, this Mavic doesnt come with a ice pack when i bought it nor do i want to carry a ice pack with me when I fly

The new Go4 updates has no effect and are still bad
The Go4 App is overheating my Iphone 6Plus and Ipad Mini2

I updated and flew 3 batteries worth of flight yesterday with no issues. But it was also MUCH cooler out as well, only 60 F probably. Be cool down here in Ohio.

Yes if it cool , no problem, like i said my last 2 batteries were done while a ice pack was under my ipad mini and there was no problem at all

But if i cant fly this thing in the summer it is completely worthless to me

Early morning flight. Weather and iPhone was not hot. Had the latest DJI Go 4 app on iPhone 6S Plus.

Patiently waiting for a fix, and not flying or buying a new tablet. Disappointed in what seems a to be a pretty big issue, and it seems many people are affected by this.

DJI please address this issue for us.

I seen this warning yesterday and immediately It reminded me of this thread.  Oh well, I just kept on flying and this happened while flying my spark.

Cool (pun intended). I was tempted to say to glue an aluminum heat sink fin to the back of the phone or tablet. Seems the app cpu heating/overload is at the edge of marginality and incremental fixes might or might not work. Also it looks hard to pick any real winners for which tab or phone to use.

With my Android I'm still getting Aircraft Disconnect, video lag and video shutdown sometime into the second battery, even though outside temperatures are getting cooler. But still testing when I get the chance. I don't think with the .09 Android app anyone is seeing the 'CPU overload' warning. Is that so? Just on the IOS app?

Unfortunately this huge problem that we have is not on DJI'S priority list to fix as you can see !
It's a shame to because the Mavic Pro is a great toy but the company's priorities are way out of line.

They hang the Moderators out to dry by making them copy and paste the same response to people's problems.

As long as they keep taking people's orders for a product they don't even have to deliver, all is good in their eye's.

As soon as a comparable drone comes on the market i will drop DJI like a bad habit.

DJI, please fix our problem, we want to fly our drones again, they are just sitting around collecting dust until you fix this issue

This problem was covered a while back in another forum. The fix for the IOS devices was remove the Go4 App completely from your device then re-install it.

This worked for me and my iPad mini 2 works normal now and doesn't get the CPU overload message any longer.

Just my 2 cents but I'm working.

I did this exact thing and it worked for me. Flew 4 batteries back-to-back in 90-degree (F) with no issues whatsoever. Uninstall then reinstall the app. It clears something in your mobile device, I think. Actually who knows. It worked on both my iPhone 6+ and my iPad mini 4 so I'm happy.

I also have uninstalled it a few different times now and still have similar results
Now i only get CPU overload warning when device overheats, but once it overheats i get terrible video lag and freezing

Did some test flight yesterday evening in order to see if with new GO4 app latest ver. 4.1.12 this problem had been fixed. Ambient temperature was approx. 20 C , ipad mini4 with 11.0.2 ver installed and mavic .0900 installed. Unfortunately result was terrible with CPU message and choppy video all the time....!!! When using screen recording was even more terrible!!!

Unfortunately for my case this app version didn't solve anything  regarding this issue.

Yes, this is a big problem that nobody at DJI seems to want to address

IOS 11.0.3 just released. Loaded 11.1 beta2 on my ipad mini2 yesterday, connected and flew fine, short run-5min, cool weather. 11.0.3 on my 6s today. I have to wait until this weekend to get a good 3 battery test in on both...

iPad mini2 airplane mode. IOS 11.1 Beta2, all latest DJI stuff. 85F bright sun. Flew/recorded 13min at 2.7k-30. Sport mode, no problems. Pit stopped for fresh battery, waited 5 min for bird to cool down. Flew another 12 min. about 8 minutes in started seeing live feed lag. Got progressively worse for the next few minutes till i landed. I did not get the overload or any other message. I did not fly the third battery...
The system is in need of some headroom badly. If we are pushing CPU's that close to the edge where just a few degrees ambient temp changes things, it's too close.
I will test on my 6S on IOS 11.0.3 tomorrow...

I read pre 11.0.0.3 is no good but 11.0.0.3 is. So if you update your iOS make sure it's that version

I had issues and I downgraded back to iOS 10.3.3 (back when Apple was still signing it) and latest DJI GO + FW... have been flying with no issues. (almost daily) I am so glad I went back to 10.3.3 when I did.. reading about continuing issues with the iOS 11+ and GO.. how frustrating! Temps have not been in the 90's so no way to test the heat issues, but I do have my iPad mini2 in a hard protective case if that makes a diff.

I will upgrade iOS when you all say the issues are no more.

I fly both a Phantom 3A and Mavic Pro with both an iPhone 7+ and iPad Mini2/16.  The only problem I have ever had was the iPad overheating one day that was well over 100F and I was standing in the sun.  I do not have a sun shade.  There's never been ny other problem with it and no video lag.  I'll have a few video breaks now and then if I forget to switch antenna positions.  All firmware/software is kept up to date at the time updates come out.

This problem is not temperature related, nor are we over loading the I-Pad processor with one App running while the machine is sitting on the ground not recording - it's simply a poor design of the App. You can try recording a lower resolution and put the pad in Airplane mode to free up the processor.
