I wonder if this is a DJI approved or does it matter?

I wonder if this is a DJI approved or does it matter?

There are many companies that provide useful extra items for our DJI flight kits.

I use a couple of them myself, without any problem or concern.

I do not suggest to use the third party charger as the performance can not be ensured.

But since DJI has no plans to offer one, you have no choice, if you want to charge in the field.

Certainly these chargers have been thoroughly tested before being put on the market, for consumers.

Perhaps DJI will bring out their own multi charging station, in the near future.
If not, there are these alternatives, available for those who wish to use them.

Yes, same with my Can Am SpYder RS-S trickle charger. But that is best, or I would drain the battery.
You can also buy a second car battery, but for the dash board socket, yes the vehicle needs to be running, to send voltage to the lighter/charger....

Yes, but how depleted are those flight packs and where are we flying today? ;-)

Can we plug in, on the train, or airplane?

Can you just plug in the micro usb to you car phone charger on the spark? I know this would only charge one battery at a time and that you couldn't fly while charging but while your traveling

You should be able to. As long as the charger provides enough power.

I'm not sure that's a powered charging port.

Yes, it does look like it's well made and worth the while.
I hope it serves you well, if you choose to make acquisition of a unit.

Hopefully the prices are adequately low for you too.

Yes, I know with shipping, it can often be nearly cost prohibitive.

Be very careful using those chargers, I've heard of them shorting and blowing the (expensive) batteries.

Do what I did and get an inverter , then you can use you're original DJI charger. 150W is enough, check below.

Yes, great advice. As that's also a safe way to charge. ;-)

Good luck with that. Pulling 10 - 20 amps through that cigarette lighter  plug might not  be  much better.

Yeah, I'm not sure of shipping fees to the Netherlands though.

Too bad there aren't cheaper vendors in that area.

Actually it draws 5.6A (or 67.2 watts) while charging 3 batteries...I've measured it on my bench PSU .

So yeah

Yes, even for it's diminutive size, certainly feature full. ;-)

Hi

First of all, thanks for adding so much info on this issue. I am travelling 2 weeks on a camper on my vacation and I am checking all the possibilities to charge the batteries during that time. Apparently the 2 options I see here are valid: 3 in 1 charger and the inverter. I read many things about the inverters, and seem the best option, although they are a bit more expensive and also bigger. Could anybody confirm that the 3 in 1 charger is not damaging the batteries or shortening their lives?

Thanks again.

Hahahahaha.
Never used that so far.
We have 'marketplace' (Dutch translation) and it's free.
No charges for seller / buyer.
So in general cheaper than eBay.
And local, so no worries about shipping etc.

Ebay is not what it was a long time ago.. also companys use it now to sell all new items direct (no auctions) most with free shipping for just a scratch of prices here in europe.. Paypall makes it very safe ;-)  A lot of drone stuff can be found there..!

Happy to share a little info, where ever applicable. Glad your could use some of this, for your own travels.

Depending on your shopping availability, the inverter  would probably be easier to find.

Either one should be safe to charge your flight packs.
