Hello all.

I have had my P4P for about 6 months.  I turned on the system two days ago and the system updated the RC firmware.  After a reboot, the AC and RC will not connect.  I have the latest firmware on the RC and AC.  Tried rolling back the firmware but the only firmware option for the RC was 01.04.01.00.

I tried binding via GO 4 App but the pop up that normally starts the b-bb sequence never initiates, the pop up is displayed for a second or less then disappears and says RC linked.

I tried holding C1/C2 and Record but it won't say in b-bb mode.

When I turn on the RC, it does not give the normal DJI start up chime but rather two solid beeps.  The first LED is purple versus red or green.  The RC shows connected on the GO 4 app and it charges my cell phone.

I have tried many combinatinos of buttons to reset the controller.  I opend the RC to check the battery and reseat all the cables, all seems fine and the battery is at 8.2vdc.

Anyone else have a bricked RC with a Purple LED after the latest firmware update?

Can you power everything down and then once it cools off power back up and try to relink? Let us know what occurs.

Do you know what the purple LED means?

Are you sure it is purple and not red? There is no reference to a purple LED in the manual. Does your remote have the monitor with it and does the monitor turn on?

Thank you for the clarification. Here is something to try. You may of tried this before but try it again as it may resolve your issue:

Reset the RC:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

To manually relink te RC to the aircraft, use the following:

* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD.
*Let go all fingers, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

Reset the RC:

It is not possible to link the remote, if i choose link remote, after i pressed your key combination an after power of and on the remote, immidately the DJI go app shows connection linked even if the copter is powered off. Also the Link without app  with the second key combination you wrote is not possible.

Hi,
i had the same issue. Your solution didn't work initially but when i pushed as wel as c1 and c2 and record and photo button it worked for me to. Finally it cost me 8 hours to find the solution even that i tried it before after a youtube film.

Best regards
Huub
