So after recently getting a new iPhone 7 after using an iPhone 6 for the last year I was very excited to see if the extra performance from the iPhone 7 improves the experience.

I’m disappointed to say that iOS 11 seems to have caused some trouble.

My issue in summary:-

Controller connects to P4. Green light.
iPhone is connected via lead to controller. Open app and DJI go 4 shows no connection to drone. Reinstall DJI go 4 with no success.

Luckily my friend had his iPhone 6 with iOS and tried his DJI go 4 app which works perfectly.

Conclusion is that my iOS 11 has caused some issues for the DJI go 4 app.

DJI is there any remedy for this as currently I cannot use my P4 unless I have a device on iOS 10 which I don’t have.

Easiest thing to try is a different lightning cable. Use an official Apple cable. Probably not it but a really easy one to test.

I have had no problems ios 11.

Same here. I have an iPhone 8 + and it works fine for me.

A moderator on here advised to delete your GO 4 app and reinstall it - worked for me.

Everything is working just fine, I updater phones and ipad 2 days ago. It does not seem to be a general problem. Litchi works too. Reload, reboot, and light candles.

That is a good starting point. If you update the firmware it is always good to update everything else.

Same thing happened to me. I purchased in IPad mini4, which is recomended by DJI.  When I tried to connect it, the App won't recognize the device and it has the new IOS 11.  I called DJI, after a while of testing, redownloading reconnecting, powering off/on, they determined it was the IOS 11 causing the issue.  Of course I was annoyed and asked why the top drone company isn't compatible with one of the top mobile device manufacturers with their latest firmware updates. They agreed and said that they know about the issue and their technicians are dilligently working on a solution. I was able to get out of him that the update may come as soon as next week (10/20/2017).  You better believe that I will be back on the phone with them if this doesn't happen.  Hope this gives you some hope.

DJI doesn't seem to be comfortable with IOS 11. I just updated my iPhone X to iOS 11.2 and now the app no longer function properly. Only white blank screen at startup and automatically it will close itself after few seconds of inactivity.

This same thing happened to me on my iPad mini 4 with iOS 11.0.2 for mobile. DJI Go 4 would constantly crash as soon as a link to the Magic was established.  Finally completely uninstalled DJI Go 4 and did a clean reinstall. Now it works perfectly.
