Hello, any chance to get info on user with a serial number, a Mavic Pro as been stolen from my shop and DJI can't track it due to privacy, which I understand, but all I need is the current user of the drone to confirm my beliefs. Hope I can get some good help.

I don't believe that DJI has ever done this (I've seen this request a few times on this forum) but I believe you should talk to some of the DJI admins in the forum, maybe with a copy of the police report they could give some help out. However, mind that even if they do provide information, police might not be able to do anything: The person using the drone might not be the guy that stole the drone from your shop and it might break some privacy laws depending on the country you're in. I'd suggest to claim this to your insurance and move on, as hard as it is... Best luck anyway!

You have a tough case unless you have the original box or even a receipt showing the SN#.

Yes, the technology for this is ancient....

If you have the inventory number surely DJI can cough up the Serial Number - so irrespective of whether the Mavic has been 'fenced' on to someone else - they are in possession of stolen goods and are culpable to return it upon demand, and for lack of proof of purchase etc etc etc Next time the Mavic has to be firmware updated or logs in to a DJI account (uploading flight data), then it has been identified and DJI would be delinquent in not informing you - and potentially equally culpable in the law if they took no action.

This is why its good idea to log the serial numbers of any items in your shop inventory that has a serial number....just incase.
