I installed my X5S onto my M210 RTK Dual gimbal setup, port 2. When I turn the vehicle on, the X5S begins its startup sequence. its gets stuck halfway through and just rotates back and forth. Any suggestions?

I wondered if something like this would happen if you put a X4s  & X5s on together as you can not use2 "normal" cameras together as only 1 image processor on the machine. TheZ30 & XT have their own built in processors.

I believe Broadlandboy may have a point. If you go to page 81, it will advise on the duel gimbal set up. The second gimbal is for an XT and Z30. https://dl.djicdn.com/downloads/ ... _User_Manual_EN.pdf

I have taken the X5S off of my M210RTK Dual gimbal setup and moved it over to my M210 non-RTK with the single downward gimbal. It is doing the same thing. I also updated the standard 210 to the latest firmware with the camera attached, no change. Any suggestions? Maybe some incorrect firmware was loaded to the X5S when I updated the M210RTK?  Is there a way to reset the X5S camera to default firmware?

I have swapped it between mount points on my M210RTK with the dual downward gimbal, tried pairing it with the Z30, then swapped it to the M210 non-RTK with a single downward gimbal. It isn't working properly on either vehicle or in any configuration. It did work perfectly the first time I mounted it to the M210RTK. This started after trying to update the flight zones with the DJI GO 4 app

Thank you for that information. Try seeing if you can reset back to factory defaults through the Assistant Software. If that does not resolve your issue, a technician may have to take a look at  this unit. Before we get to that point, try resetting back to factory faults plus update any firmware.

Will the factory reset also revert the camera and gimbal? or just the vehicle?

I have the same Issue after updating the M210 RTK with the x5s connected....

i have resetted(2 times) and refreshed(2 times) the software and it does not help.

and pushing the camera icon with a line over, think its co-control of both cameras,  the Z30 goes berserk too and m210 needs a restart.

Factory reset did not restore normal X5S Gimbal operation. Firmware remains at V01.01.0303.

I sent one back to DJI to be repaired/exchanged last week, I'm waiting for its return. I also tried mounting the second X5S to my M210 non-RTK with single downward mount, same results. looks like I'll be sending this one in as well. I won't even bother trying on my M210-RTK with dual downward. It seems that there is something wrong in firmware, as the first X5S was fine before the update. The X4S and Z30 were unaffected. Hopefully, the next fw update will fix it, or the exchange will work.

I have a customer with the same issue with the X5S on his M210 RTK. He accidentally fixed the issue by mounting the camera to the Inspire 2. He was notified that there was an inconsistent hardware upgrade, but he ignored it and completed the mounting process. Afterwards, he remounted the X5S to his M210 RTK and the gimbal worked fine.

That's funny @thedroneproshop, because we didn't have this issue with our X5S on our M210-RTK but then started having it when we moved it to our Inspire 2 (I have a post on the Inspire forums here).
There is another post, in the Matrice 200 forums, about this issue and Skee replied with a potential fix:

For the issue about X5S swing, please login DJI Assistant2 with the account  m200test@163.com using the password  m200test123
After the camera is mounted to the aircraft, update the firmware to V01.01.0310. After the successful update, please download the firmware to V01.01.0303 and the issue will be fixed.
