As for the views: check where your viewers are located in analytics.
Sometimes it is really strange (one of my train video's was very popular in India and Russia), but more often it is explainable.

this video was one of the first ever acceptable video on Youtube for the spark. When it came out there were only like 5 spark videos and 4 of them were just crap. This was good to see the quality of the camera and not the operator controlling it.

also, if you check the video descirption and stuff, everything includes the word "DJI" and "Spark" - even his channel name. Which sure helps to get more clicks

Don't forget he added a popular keyword 'cinematic'.
If you look at his video's from 2 months ago only that one got so many views.

Probably the police who is trying to locate this spark owner who is breaking a lot of drone laws

Buzzwords....

My strategy is not to care about views and just post what I like to make. Makes things more easy and fun.
If one goes gets more than a couple of 100 views its a bonus.

So do I, but just as an extra to generate some money for my hobbies (photography, videography, making music....).
I am glad I have a 'normal' job and don't depend on it for a living.
This way it's just for fun and to get a little money back  to invest in new equipment (or should I say: gadgets)

It might just be a post somewhere that linked to your video and got picked up.
I started with YT in 2007 and have 2 out of 400 video's that have + 1 mln views. (don't ask my why, they are very boring)
Most others are stuck at 100 - 1000.
And only some are between 10.000 - 50.000 views
Very strange since some are about the exact same subject etc.

That is how it apparently works.

I don't bother, just shoot what I like and post every now and then.
There are so so so many uploads every second, it is too much work to really get enough views to make 'real' money from it.
You will have to move to do something really popular, but that does not happen to be included in my hobbies

I believe one thing is to share a video of whatever you consider 'cinematic' (lately people think that cinematic means letterboxing and a simple colour grading / LUT, I 'hope' that for the majority here it means a little more than that but that is a different story) and another is coming here with the silly title: "This video has more than 13.000 views, do you know why?" Unless you have already realized that the video is crap and you are really wondering... in that case I apologize.

ya this video is one of my first videos I put up, it isn't as good as some of my others and it has more than 10x

If you don't use it already, use the free version of TubeBuddy. It helps break down the analytic more and shows you what keywords you're ranking for.

Typically, if a large number of views look suspicious, then there is a likelihood that the channel owner has purchased additional views for his video. There are many services such as youtubegrowthat can help to increase the number of likes and subscribers.

I guess that they use some services of buying views.
