Am I missing something here but one the DJI site the Z3 camera is £799 and the Osmo + which includes a load of accessories is £689.

The Z3 from the Osmo + might not be compatible with the Inspire 1. But the Z3(white coloured) is compatible with both the Inspire 1 and the Osmo handle. Hope that answers your question.

It is compatible. You just need to make sure you update the firmware on the camera to correspond on what you are using.

So whats the difference between a X3 zoom and a Z3?
Is the camera on a Osmo+ an X3 and the the camera thats compatable with the osmo and inspire 1 a Z3 and other than compatabaility with both platforms theres no diffrence between the two?

Zenmuse X3 zoom(black) was designed for Osmo, Zenmuse Z3(white) was designed for Inspire 1.
They have the same feature. But for compatibility, Zenmuse X3 zoom(black) works with Osmo handle only, while Z3(white) works with both Osmo handle and Inspire 1 aircraft.
