I hope this one is a real announcement.

Yes, I hope it's not a 45 second commercial to tease a 60 second commercial.  I suspect that there will be a real product announcement on October 11, and I suspect it will have nothing to do with the spark.  The production value going into this tease looks pretty high, so I'm suspecting a higher end device.

Plenty of flying in that video Osmo doesn’t fly, it maybe an aircraft that both flys and can be used as a handheld, as many of the shots in the video look like a handheld was used.

After the September 28th build up and subsequent let down and all the software/FW bugs and deployment issues I have decided to practice what I was taught by my parents as a child.  Don't say anything if you can't say something nice.



I suspect you are correct.  It won't be another video since they have already released one.

Maybe. Or just a new X5 camera that can be attached to the Inspire and the Osmo2

I am full stop. My Spark, Mavic, P4, P4P, I2 are all waiting for new firmware to fix current problem.

Judging by the video that might be correct.
One thing that I was hoping for was a Osmo for DSLR

Yeah got same offer, it’s pretty normal with dji, but with RC discount and spark discount €80 is a good saving.

Oh, after watching the video I was so naive to think it will be a DJI motorbike with 4K camera and full flight capabilities, bad luck for me then...

here is my guess..  based on "reflections" title, and the ending mostly with camera glass/lens.  

given recent availability of 4k 60fps chipsets and cameras with gopro and iPhones and that usually signals a huge wave and influx of equally capable hardware for lower and lower costs. my guess is its related to cameras and hardware behind it (including HEVC 4K 60 and streaming higher quality further ranges). but...4K 60fps modes and new hardware that is standalone first like osmo then maybe new pro dji drones with 4K 60 like P5pro and Mavic 2 Pro, Inspire 3, etc.  

however given recent way Dji been doing ADs, this probably a commercial for a commercial which will be for an announcement later..  DJI never been good at the hype train thing, but if they play cards right, maybe.  this time they can win more people over..

i would be happy if DJI properly used Metal 2 APi on iOS for smoother transcoding and drawing and also used HEVC encoding/Transcoding on Mavic and Spark and P4P i believe the hardware on teardowns i seen are capable of transcoding HEVC... i know on iOS HEVC decoding on iOS 11 is supported all the way down to A7 CPUs (surprising but it works i tested a HEVC 4K 60fps video on my iPad mini 2 and it was silky smooth) so that's no issue, decoding HEVC works well and HEVC requires less bandwidth which can improve reliable range.  android is more hit or miss on HEVC decoding support given huge range of devices and hardware specs.  lets hope that this is a signal for DJi to improve a large gamut of things with camera tech and streaming tech both existing and coming soon..
