Hi guys,

When I download pictures taken with the Inspire 1 to my Mac (Aperture or iPhoto) I get the message "Unsupported image format". Instead, I have no problems with JPEGs and videos. Any advice on this issue??

DNG is an archival format for storing camera raw files.

From this forum it seems that it's not possible to import DNG to a Mac unless using Photoshop. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll keep looking for a solution.

I have a similar problem in that I can't record RAW photos (which is dng) I can only record jpg's.  I have a support request and have been told the camera is faulty but that's it.  I have been waiting for a week for someone from DJI to contact me back without success.  

Lichtroom does the job for you.

I Allas copy the files to my Apple and postprocess them in LR or Photoshop.

DNG will be the nr. 1 RAW format in a coupe of years, so they say!

It was no camera issue in my case. Gary I suggest you try the same.

DNG is a professional image format, and generally requires a professional image editing application.  There are several of these written for a Mac.  Photoshop is, of course, the industry standard. Photoshop elements is almost a completely different application from a workflow perspective, but is usually almost good enough, depending on your goals.

An open sourced (free, but a bit more clunky) alternative is GIMP, should you be interested and motivated.

What i don't get is that Preview will open DNG Cleaned DNG's once through the DJI DNG Cleaner... ones from before "clean" can't be opened.
