I finally got the Assitant2 to refresh my P4 with the latest firmware using a mac. Both RC and AC have the latest official software along with the go App. It installed to 100% unlike the first time (hung @ 99%) Formatted the SD card Tested today and it flew great. All the wobble and weird motor noise gone. Filmed the whole time in 2k 30fps - didn't suffer the gimble problem originally though but.... The video feed to my iPad mini 2 is nowhere near as good as it used to be, green/black screen about 2-300 meters. AND.... If I enable any of the Active modes it instantly goes green/black screen and back to ok as soon as I exit the mode. Even when really close to the P4 (10 - 50 meters) For the record, my P4 is an early 2016 that suffers from all the usual battery and shell cracks etc. some wins, some losses reposted this as it got moved to the service section for some reason.

You have updated the RC as well, that was required as part of the aircraft upgrade to sort out potential transmission problems if using RC builds below V1.9.2 (latest is V1.9.3).

yeah I am on V1.9.3 for the RC
did not have any install issues with the RC when I did the update last week.
but the image to iPad was still really bad before that but after the big FW update on the P4.
Because it also caused the weird flying behaviour I did not even try the active modes last time out.

I am glad its now stable and not too bothered about the distance but I use a few of the active modes for filming so it is a bit sh*t.
Also most people are not going to be happy with a range of 300 meters.

Try reinstalling the App. Also, go for the latest operating system on your mobile device.

checkt everything but nothing helpt...

Have you checked camera settings, if its in manual mode then you may just be seeing an under exposed image on the video screen. Do you get the same when camera settings are set to automatic mode ?

No that was not the solution...

I had to reset camera settings... and that gave the solution.

So if a user has a pre set camera setting 1....

the solve the software problem ... load the settings from the preset settings. BUT that doesnt work.

RESET CAMERA is the solution.
