I was updating the drone today at the field. (It needed to update the no fly zones) After this the remote just shows a purple light and beeps one time when powering up.
The controller does not connect to the drone.

When I connect the remote to the DJI assistant it will not recognize the controller. (Is this normal?)


I have tried to reload the controller firmware and even though this process runs all the way, the controller still shows a purple light and beeps one time when powered up.

I have tried to reload the firmware and this proces works but the result is still the same.

The Drone flashes yellow.

Advice?

Reset the RC:

* Turn on the controller, and the aircraft should be off.
* Press C1, C2, and shutter on the controller then turn the controller off.
* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller and link the remote.

To manually relink te RC to the aircraft, use the following:

* Turn on both the aircraft and the controller.
* Press C1, C2, and the record button on the controller, then the controller will beep like D-DD.
*Let go all fingers, press the wheel on the right side of the controller and then the first light of the controller will become blue and it will constantly beep DDDD.
* Use a pen to click the linking button on the aircraft and hold for 3-5 seconds, and then take the pen off the aircraft and wait, it will be linked soon.

When trying first option, nothing happens. Not at all.

Trying the second option... I get the D-DD but no blue light when pressing the wheel.

For the controller of P4P, it is not available to connect with DJI Assistant 2 to update. Please refer below and try to reset the RC and refresh for several times.

Turn on the RC only, hold on C1+C2+Shutter of the RC, then turn off the RC and turn it on again. Please check whether the LED changed to green or not. Then connect the APP and upgrade the firmware again.

Nothing happens when doing that combination.

I have now refreshed the firmware at the controller with my Ipad. It did not help.

This did the trick ....

* Press C1, C2 and Shutter button of the controller and then turn off the controller.
* Don’t let go of any of the buttons, turn on the controller.

I was pressing the C1,C2 + shutter and then release. After that i powered of.

Posting to help someone in the future; I had the same problem on my RC Plus controller for my T40. Flashing purple status light with the error "forward or backward motion detected in the left stick. unable to take off."
I replaced the stick module but it still didn't work. Got onto a live chat and they said it needs to be calibrated 5x in a row to get rid of the error.  5x calibration got rid of my error and it has been running normally now.
