Whenever you drive south from L.A. to San Diego, you pass through the charming little seaside village of La Jolla. It's where the L.D.S. Church decided to built one of their newer temples and it's pretty impressive from the freeway at 70 miles per hour.
But I have always wondered what the Angel Moroni looks like up close and personal, 200 feet up.
Now, with the DJI Spark, I can take a closer look, and you can too.

Nice video. Is it manually shot?
Is it possible to do a quickshot like a helix or circle around the angel Moroni?
Manually, yes.
Is it possible in a Quickshot? Probably. But manually let me swoop in really close as we round the front of the angel and look right down the barrel of his horn. It's more dramatic that way.
No one ever seems to notice that in the opening approach to the tower shot, the cars on the freeway are going backward. I actually filmed it coming away from the tower and then just reversed the footage.

I did not see the reverse cars but recognizing that as a possibility can only come with experience with video editing. Cool idea.
I too have some difficulty making smooth transitions where curved flight paths are involved.
I use Tripod a lot, but I don't recall if i did on this one.
