In order to aid wtih finding it either in the air, or, god forbid, after a crash landing, I was thinking of painting the body with fluorescent paint or tapes.
Any thoughts on that, from flight safety point of view?

Many skins to choose from. I wouldn't paint. Use stick'ums.

Like most things, freight to Australia is the killer.....
I purchased some "premium" skins out of China and they didnt even get in the house, I threw them in the bin on the way back from the letterbox.... total crap, no adhesive quality and folded like origami to save on freight costs.
I was thinking of buying the Tile or the Trachr. A small, light-weight blu-tooth tracking device. You would still have to get within 50-100 feet of the lost item to have it show up on the map but might be helpful if you're trying to find it in a thick forest or grassy area. Or even a neighborhood. You can use multiple phones with the app installed and have people canvas an area, walking 50 feet apart to find the lost drone. Still haven't decided if it will work or is worth it. Any thoughts?
