hi, i crashed my drone and everything is ok except the gimbal go bent.

when i connect to the drone with my phone (s8) it dosent sho me anything except "transmition signal weak"

the camera only has a scrach on the aluminum and not the lens itself

how do i know if its working?

Can you control the gimbal tilt? Do you have the video feed when you connect the drone to the APP?

i can control the camera tilt, but i dont get a video feed in the app

i was asking this question because while returning home the drone crashed it self, i contacted dji they told me to ship it to their HQ. but it will cost me more to ship than to fix it my self

this is what they said in an email

Thank you for the reply.

I am really sorry to tell that we do not have service center in Oman. We have a recommended service center in Kuwait but they are not able to repair gimbal cameras.

If there is any damage to the gimbal camera, you need to send it back to our HK office to do repair.

Try to reset Camera Settings and try other mobile devices if you can. Besides, have you tried to reinstall the APP? Did you get any other error message on the APP? Since the drone has been crashed, I would recommend you send the drone in for diagnosis if it is possible.

sending the drone will cost me 260usd, i found a replacement gimbal for 40usd

Did you replace the gimbal on the aircraft? If so, did you update the firmware as well?

i didnt replace the gimbal but the aircraft is on the latest firmware

Once an aircraft crashes, you would need to have a technician look at the aircraft. Unfortunately, there is not a work around solution. Where are you located?

Oman, thats the problem, shipping will cost me 260 usd i found a full gimble replacement for 240 thats why i want to replace it my self.

i contacted support and no one i willing to help

I am sorry about your frustration. I would not be able to provide instruction on how to replace a gimbal. While you have expressed concerns on shipping, you would need to contact one of these repair centers: http://www.dji.com/service/repair/centers
