So I turned my P4P+ that I havent used on in a while, and my controller is asking me to "Connect aircraft to update your data" with the title "Data Update". When I click update it wants me to connect the male micro usb to male usb, to female usb to male micro usb connector that came with the sUAS.

It should be the flight database update. You need an OTG cable to update.
