DJI said the X7 will be compatible with other DJI products in the future.
Given that currently only the I2 and the Matrice 2XX series share the same gimbal attachment I guess that means it will be compatible with the Matrice 200?
Or can we expect DJI to release a new drone (I3 or whatever) and skip the Matrice 2XX because it is too "industrial"?

Unfortunately, there is not an update on this point. The X 5 is a pretty strong contender with the Osmo. Why not try that?

Nope, at this moment. M200 will record video to SD card only at 100mbps bitrate with H.264/265 codec. This should render video quality comparable to P4P, different optics aside.

At this moment of development M200 series can accept X5 and X5S cameras and recording to SD card only, which translate to H.264/265 codec at 100Mbps bitrate, similar to P4P performance. Any higher quality video will require external processor and storage similar to Inspire 2 class, which may or may not be offered in future.
