Hey guys,

My phantom doesn't automatically pick up on the home location on take off. And when I manually try to set the location it would keep saying "home location not recorded"

And when I look at the satellite/gps icon on top of my screen it would have no bars. Please help? I really want to use RTH and other features

Regards,
Savvy

What position is the TOP LEFT toggle switch ?

The pictures show you are in P-OPTI mode.

If you are outdoors and the Phantom has a good view of the sky but you get no GPS sats, the most likely possibilities are that either your GPS receiver unit is broken or disconnected.

I could be wrong here, but it looks like those pics were taken indoors.  If that is the case you will not get GPS locks on enough sats to make for a good fix to get a HP.
Are you getting the same problem when outside with a clear view of the sky?

I have to agree with Genghis ... on second look - it looks like a house floor in the display ...

"Savvvss" .... go outside and then switch on ... see what happens then.

Post the screenshot of APP when you are in the outdoor without interference, I'd like to look into it.

The switch is in the correct position as Solentlife suggested. If  you go outside and there are absolutely no bars showing at all, you may have a faulty GPS, or the wires may have come loose from the main board. Have you had a hard landing recently? I would remove the top shell, and carefully look to see if the wire coming from the GPS is plugged securely into the main board. Your GPS module sits in the top of the upper shell. If everything looks ok, your best option might be to send it in.
