Hi all,

My current set up weighs in at around 2750g take off weight and is specced as follows:

DJI F550 Flamewheel
Naza M V2
Zenmuze H3-3D gimbal
GoPro Hero 3 Black
Stock props, motors and 30A escs
Turnigy 4S 10,000 mAh battery
Retractable undercarriage
FPV setup including 1300 mAh battery and BevRC tx
DJI iOSD

This is a little over the DJI recommended take off weight and I was wondering if it would be sensible for me to replace the motors. If so, should I also replace the ESC's and props? Can someone recommend, from experience, a power system which is going to smooth, efficient, cool and stable?

Thanks!

Michael

My f550 is 6.5 lbs so a tad bit heavier than yours and she Flys just fine for me. Travels  35mph on a calm day also and i run the stock e300 propulsion system with the dji thrust boosted props. 9.4x5 or 9450 as stamped on the prop. I run 2 - 4 cell 6200mah packs in paralell for a 15 min fly time.  My motors are still cool after 4 flights Back to back. So i would think you will be fine as I've been for a year now.   You can always take the e300 system off and put the e600 propulsion system on it or the newer e800 propulsion system. You would have to buy 6 cell batteries to run those systems but thru can lift a 10 to 12 pound copter easily..
