Its a cheaper version of the Inspire 1.  Don't like it lol, I'm happy with the inspire.  Just give me a new camera!!! Please oh please!

I somehow feel that the Inspire1 was there beta for the Phantom 3

Looks to me they have upgraded their biggest seller, the Phantom.  The inspire helped them do that.

Wow the App looks like the Inspire 1, oh its the same but can we get a autonomous in the app now.

Glad to see the P3 get the waypoint function, What about the Inspire1??

I thus far Im ok with it... However I would like to see the "DIRECTOR" added to the Inspire via Firmware update!! I want something for our birds!

I wonder if they will integrate the I stand YouTube live feed and director into the inspire 1 app?

I am really feeling shafted currently.

Ok so now we can pilot it, take video, edit it and add music to it.  Now I just need a couple of more arms and eyes

Does anyone feel that the P3 camera is any better than the Inspire 1?

Over 4.5K for the inspire1 with the same abilities as it's little brother at a 1/4 the price!

I agree that there is some obvious benefits to the Inspire still but so far what do we have-

1) Similar controller as I1 (is missing a few ports and a couple buttons on the back)
2) Similiar functionality of the app as the I1 with full manual camera settings
3) 4k camera at 12mp like I1
4) Same Sonic and camera ground based integration as I1
5)Same video up link to the app at 720 as the I1
6) Introduction of "director" automated DJI video editing interface program. Integrated music, color correction video editing etc
7) Flight simulator integration based on Phantom 3 control interface.
8) user flight long reports after every flight
9) Phantom 3 pro and Phantom 3 Advanced.
10) Phantom 3 pro is $1259, Phantom 3 advanced is $999. (Pro comes with the 4k platform. advanced is 1080


Sounds lot like some of the cool detailed features of the Inspire...

mmmm They keep talking about education protocol of DJI university and SDK with teaching how to benefit from things like Waypoint flights...  mmmm  how about finish the one for the Inspire?

Now who would spend a shitload more for the same abilities as the Inspire1 Yes the inspire1 can raise it's landing gear but thousands more just for this!

So this is where our money went...Not on support but on parties in Singapore lol

SO whats the real difference?   Elevating landing gear, unobstructed 360 view, dual controller?....  yeah im not seeing the price differnce between the Inspire and the Phantom 3 being merited.

Does this mean that the controller for the phantom 3 isnt $600 like the I1?

Ok, enough with the P3 how about interchangeable lenses for the Inspire 1.  Do you have something?  Anything?

Im sure DJI will be updating I1 with some goodies on Firmware... I still feel we have a superior bird... they have not said anything to secondary controller.. and I do not think it is much of a possibility as the legs are still in the way.. We still have more stability, range and more advanced flight controls that are more customizable...

I do think their inclusion of the Opti system is good, and a great addition to a bird that is now a great platform for close range flights and indoor flights, however I can see how customers of Inspire 1 can sense right now they used our Birds as testing/developing platform to the P3!

Don't get their marketing approach.  Why would they canibalize the inspire1 with a MUCH less expensive Quad with VERY similar features?

Now I hope it FLY's AWAY on them mid broadcast!

The Inspire still has some plus points:

Camera that isn't just forward facing
Dual operator controls.

But with that camera, which seems like the same camera in a new body, they need to up the Inspire's camera to keep it relevant.

I'm hoping they announce a few of those software updates for the Inspire too - stuff like the simulator which we still don't have on Android.

Fingers crossed for the handheld gimbal too...

Now the quad from Walkera is starting to look more promising!
