Yes, it's not that hard. Start practicing it on the ground, then it becomes easier when you do it from the boat. Always bring the drone backward to you.

Thanks! The fishing season might over for me for this year. It's that time when I have to winterize and take the boat to a storage facility.
But this is the reason I purchased the P4 instead of the Mavic Pro. I wanted to be able to hand release and hand catch it from my boat.

You could think about a simple design and build a removable landing pad for your boat.


Anyway, yes, winterizeing is a must. Hope you are able to enjoy your drone all year long.
Otherwise, www.realflight.com is a must. ;-)

It's too bad the DJI onboard flight SIM couldn't be more compelling.

Thank you! You do it first on the ground. Much easier. When I am the boat I bring the drone backwards. Of course, on a high wind it's a bit harder.
