I opened a new thread regarding the IMU Error. Calibrate IMU I started getting since loading the latest official firmware.
Let's show DJI how many drones are being affected by this bug.

I “had” the bug but have since downgraded the quad, controller and iOS app to 4.0.8 now all is well....

I had it, don't remember really when it started. it is just because the IMU is warming up, but it could take around 1 minutes to warm up not like before.

Thanks DJI Susan. I saw your previous post. I just wanted to see if I am the only one. If not, how many P4 users reading this forum are being affected?

I cant start IMU calibration, when i hit start calibration button nothing start, someone with same problem ? How can resolve this ?

There's nothing to resolve.  You don't need to calibrate your IMU.  The Error message is a bug in the firmware.  As DJI Susan points out in her post above,  DJI knows about it and it will be fixed in the future.   Just ignore it for now.

I get the same error.  It goes away shortly after the 'Home Point' has been set....  It doesn't affect how my P4 flies.

I get the error at start up. It goes away consistently. It is not what I consider to be a problem.

Each time I power on I get this error also p4 is very unstable by comparison to previous firmware. Will DJi fix this issue

I've been getting this error since upgrading on Aug 19th, 2017. I had a perfect P4 before this upgrade. Also had to do a vision sensor calibration right after the upgrade using the dji Assistant 2 on my computer. IMU takes a long time to warm up and have the error msg go away. I've also seen the aircraft switch to the 2nd IMU. It has flown ok but it sure makes me a little nervous. Wouldn't it be nice if dji sent emails to us letting us know of the bug and any possible precautions we should take or not. No communication for dji on issues like this.

Same here i haven't used my drone in 2 weeks and i turn it on yesterday and the IMU ERROR appear.

I am confirming that the IMU Error appears only on my iPAD Air, iOS 11.02.
No issues on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, Android 7.0, DJI GO 4 ver 4.1.10. Warming up 1min 10sec vs 1min 4sec on iOS.

I'm a little late replying, but yes, my error always goes away after a minute or so.  I just treat it like a warm-up procedure.

Before buying my P4 I did a lot of research before putting out the sizable amount of money that I did.  On the one hand I couldn't help but notice all the problems others were having this forum with the FW upgrades.  But on the other hand I constantly heard that DJI drones are considered the best out there.

The same day I came home with my brand new P4 I got on the forums - yes, there is another one   - and asked if I should do the FW update.  More than one guru suggested that I stay with the version that it came with - for now anyway.  I only have one flight under my belt but I have to say that the drone worked flawlessly... save for the tree that welcomed me to the hobby.

Today I calibrated the IMU without any trouble.  Then I calibrated the gimbal, and again there were no glitches.  And so I guess my point is that for someone like me who has never flown a drone before, it just helps me out a lot not having to worry about error messages.  I can focus totally on just learning how to fly.

Hi Oscar, what firmware version do you have and what mobile device do you use? I get the IMU error on the official firmware v.02.00.0106 and iOS. No issues on the Android.

Hi... My FW version is 4.2.8 and I'm running on iPhone 6+ with the latest update.

It is a little worrying, i have a similar experience, a replacement i got has an error doing it takes very long time (5-15 min, temp dep.) to get the picture transmitted in the app, it used to show up as the error shown below that used to disappear as picture turned up. On the latest release (P4P with +RC) the error has been suppressed even the symptoms is still there.
As it is my responsibility to flight safely it is very bad practice from DJI to suppress errors in order to hide their problems, what else might it have that is not shown!

I've had the error on a brand new unit right out of the box.  IMU error, reboot message, never went away.

downgraded firmware, updated again, same message.

Used dji assistant to calibrate, successful.  restart, same message.  Sent to dji, they said it was fine.  After more back and forth, they sent me a new p4, with a dead battery in it, so now they want to charge me for a new battery on the replacement they sent me.

They have some issues, which, having been in the IT industry for over 35 years, will come back to haunt them.  This is how startups take hold.  Just look at all the silicon valley giants that fell along the way when they didn't support their customers properly.

Yep i get that IMU message when starting up too...not to worried as it just warming up. (glitch in app)

I think you might have done something wrong, only thing calibrated in Assistant would be the vision sensors afaik. i think it could be the IMU Warming up message you have had like PowerBand1 say above.

Update your iOS and the app. I don't get the IMU anymore and the app is the only thing I updated.
