Hello
For a few days when I take a picture, the Ph4P disconnect and the gimbal turns completely to the left. After a few seconds it reconnects but you see the gimbal that slowly returns to the center.

I try to reinstall firmware, app and refresh all the settings without any results.

Do you have any idea?

Try a full factory reset in Assistant 2 and recalibrate everything, including the gimbal. If this still happens then refer to DJI Support.

Tried the factory reset and gimbal, not compass and imu.

With video works well!

Compass and IMU would be for flight direction of the drone rather than the gimbal - this does sound more like a FW or, dare I say it, a hardware issue with the gimbal. Try calibrating everything and see if that makes a difference. Are you using an ND filter on the drone? What flight mode are you in? This could also be due to your Micro SD card. It is difficult to gauge on here without looking at the DAT files or the drone as a strange one.

With everything turned on, gently push the gimbal all the way in the other direction.

Is there any difference after calibrating IMU and gimbal? What's the current aircraft firmware version?

Controller firmware: 01.04.01.00
PH4Pro firmware: 01.04.0602

Tried several time to update and refresh both firmware.
Tried IMU, gimbal and compass calibration
Tried to move gently to the left and right the gimbal
Tried to change memory card (update firmware with and without card.
Every update of Phantom with DJI Assistant 1.1.6 and original DJI usb cables.
Every update of remote with iPad Mini 4, iOS 11.0.3 and DJI Go4 4.1.12

With video shooting no problems, only with photos.

Is possible to try a new beta firmware?

This is a new video

It sounds to me like the P4 firmware bug!
Are you filming in 3840x2160 @30fps by any chance??
If so, use a different video resolution until DJI fix this issue WHICH THEY KNOW ABOUT BUT ARE DOING NOTHING!

This is fun... The problem happens only when the image is set in 16:9!
In 4:3 and 3:2 all work fine!

So, I do not think it's a hardware problem but only software!

Sir, for the P4 camera issue, our engineers have released a beta firmware and try to fix it. If the same issue appears in your P4, please leave your DJI Account, I'd like to help you get the beta and have a try.

Thanks Susan!
Tried the new beta firmware (01.04.0608) with no changes... so i'm back to the previous 01.03.0510 and all work fine... no problem with video disconnection, no crazy gimbal movements, i can shot also in 16:9 and no disconnection.

So... i'm waiting for the new official release to upgrade!

I've only just seen your reply while looking for details on the 02.00.0700 firmware update. Does this now fix the 4K30p camera restart error? Thanks

Thank you. Yes the 0700 firmware DID fix the 4K30p camera bug. But unfortunately I have just discovered the same error now occurs using 1080p @120fps instead. ARRRGHHH!!!
Timestamp is recorded as 1/1/2014 00:00, similar to the timestamp from the 4K30p bug.
I AM NOT HAPPY!!!

Sorry about this. Our engineers are checking the exact status and see whether it can be reproduced at our end. Thanks for your feedback.

Sorry about this. Our engineers are checking the exact status and see whether it can be reproduced at our end. Thanks for your feedback.

I've been in contact with DJI Support through Facebook Messenger and they've come back to me saying "We got a response from our developers. They have reviewed the video that you have sent. It is possible that the unit may be defective, and there's damage with the flat cable specifically."
I have informed them that I strongly disagree with their diagnosis and ensured them it is a firmware error, stating...
"If this is the flat cable causing this, then why does the 1080p @120fps error only occur in firmware version 0700 and NOT 0503, 0600 and 0106 and why does the old error occur in 4K30p when I downgrade to 02.00.0106 but not in 0503, 0600 and 0700"
Logically, a firmware error is the only answer after looking at the results from the tests I performed with up/downgrading the firmware for most of the weekend.
It just seems strange that since the July 2017 update to 0106 and the recent 0700, this has appeared in different video modes. 0600 as yet doesn't appear to be affected, although I haven't tested every resolution on that yet.

I understand your situation, but this issue cannot be reproduced at our end. Therefore, we'd suggest sending the unit in for further analysis. Sorry for the confusion. We appreciate your cooperation.

The error occurred after over 10 minutes of constant recording in 1080@120fps. The first 4.1GB file was fine, it was during the recording of the 2nd clip that the error occurred.

Could you upload the original video in SD card for further analysis? Google Play or Dropbox is recommended.
