Damn wish my drone could do a 13 k round trip that fast

Furthest ive managed so far is 5.9 klms out.

I don't have a clue what country that is but it is very pretty there.  Cool video.  What is CE mode?  I have a P4A?

Hi, the country is Sweden.

CE mode = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CE_marking
FCC mode = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FCC_Declaration_of_Conformity
DJI have different specifications for their products with regards to these standards (see more on DJI product sites), in short the range is specified to be much less in CE regions than in FCC regions.

Yep, flat farmland, that was the point with this flight, i.e to try to maximize the distance. That would not be possible over more urban areas.
Flying over urban/city areas offers so much more variables that affect the range, sometimes you loose signal after just a couple of hundred meters and other times you can get good distance also in those places. It really depends...

This look very nice, may i ask what FW version you have on RC/AC? Having disconnects myself often from less than 300m i do envy you. :-)

I did wonder if numbers shown match, the powerlines in Swden must be huge then compared to the ones in my area, also i think the cars i did see is way bigger than what i am used to catch, even from just 60-80m altitude.

How did you record this in split screen? Where you relying on your GPS or camera for navigation?

When it comes to FW i would say "the latest", i'm not really sure since i have not checked for a while if there is an update pending, but i dont think so.

Hmm, you mean that my altitude was in fact lower then the reading ? I don't think so. That powerline i was passing is in fact huge, i dont now how high those constructions are, but im guessing they are perhaps 50 meters high. Another factor is ofcourse the wide angle on the camera making every thing looking closer then they are...;)

Hi,
The small screen is just a screen recording done on my tablet and then edited into the 4k video on the SD card. Editing done in Final Cut pro X (but could be done with any video editing software, like Premier Pro etc.)

On the outward leg is was relaying on the camera or rather just going as straight forward as i could (i knew which direction i wanted to go to have as much open area as possible) on the return leg i had an eye on the GPS map to make sure i was going straight back to home.

In that case you might better not check if there is - hehe - it look like yours are working as it should, i cant say so for mine.

And yes in deed those powerlines must be huge, or just the ones i have been flying around is tiny in comparison.

Foolish but interesting. Just my opinion. I had 1 long successful flight. The very next flight my P3A dropped out of the sky onto the roadway. Fortunately nothing was harmed but the drone. That was my last "experimental" flight. Happy flying and thanks for the post.
