Is there a simple way of navigating the dji website to find the latest firmware  numbers for aircraft, and controller. I have tried for quite some time but only find 'news' from years ago. I am worried about doing anything wrong as it seems many who update are left without a fully operational drone.

Look on the DJI website under support and find your particular AC model. The app should tell you if an update is available also.
